What do I think about Blogging in the classroom
It is not as easy as it sounds. In my view, at the primary school level, I do not think children are knowleageble enough to be using blogs, and even if they are when i look at how they are abusing facebook and other types, I really have to wonder if it is a wise thing to do. I am aware that it can be beneficial, but at the same time it could also be detrimental.I

I preferred looking at a more positive perspectives. Whereas i agree that the primary level may not be the best area to incorporate blogs, it can be very beneficial if accurately implemented. I also agree that the negative can comes of using blogs, however with supervision (both teacher and parental) positive goals can be achieved and far outweigh the negatives.
ReplyDeleteSeeing your point but i will stick to my view for now. Maybe is we have a better control of the various things that are happening in the classroom, then I may change my mind.
DeleteRenata you have made some valid points here. But do we really want to limit our students to the use of technology because we have fears of them abusing it. We as teachers have to implement ways where we can monitor them so that they may utilize it appropriately.

DeleteI agree with your concerns ,but the way our children are learning through technology we have to meet them through the channel they use regularly. Don't be afraid.
